Chroniclers are privileged to enter where they list, to come and go through keyholes, to ride upon the wind, to overcome in their soarings up and down, all obstacles of distance, time and place.

The Metropolitan Police must hand over its Irish hacking evidence to the Irish authorities.

(A small number of Cic Saor readers have asked me why I keep “banging on” about News International’s hacking exploits in Ireland. I hope that this blog will successfully explain why.)

Alex Marunchak arrested by the Met’s Operation Kalmyk in October 2012

In the picture above, Cic Saor readers can behold the face of Alex Marunchak. Stakeknife was supposed to have been the British spy at the heart of the IRA – with the back story that Mr Knife guided one of the most successful guerilla movements that has ever existed into a dead end of pacification and normalisation. Danny Morrison, in fact the whole of the "Adams clique" in Belfast, was accused of effectively (and secretly) working towards a ceasefire situation agreed with section of the British establishment whilst the republican movement as a whole was out risking its collective neck for the cause.

Slugger O’Toole (Mick Fealty) throws a hissy fit in Cic Saor’s direction

(When is a question a "real" question - a) when Mick Fealty deems it to be so

Mick Fealty from his Guardian page - described as: a “writer, analyst and the founding editor of Slugger O'Toole”

Sophistry and evasion were already well worn tactics in the days of ancient Greece where the key rules of rhetoric and argumentation were first developed – in the Western part of the world at least. Aristotle defined sophistry as “wisdom in appearance only”.
